Glynn Wright, representing Saskatchewan Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission, just celebrated his one-year anniversary working as the SYA Program Assistant! Glynn brings an undeniable charismatic energy to our team, is the absolute embodiment of a passionate speaker, and has crafted the art of leaving a memorable impression with students.
When he is not infusing passion into the next generation, however, you may find Glynn doing one of three things: playing soccer, watching soccer, or kicking back with a good ol’ episode of Seinfeld. Glynn has personality parallels with all three main male characters, which is why, he supposes, he finds it so relatable. What is not on Glynn’s activity list, however, is ANYTHING by himself. When asked what job he’d be horrible at, Glynn said: “Data entry/accountant/tele-marketer. Anything where I am put in a solitary position. I’d crumble!” For now, Glynn will keep on doing what he loves: talking to students about their future career choices, and for good reason. He gives excellent advice, and would tell students that “I think many of us got laser focused on thinking we had to pick one thing for life and stick there. It’s not so. That’s what education is all about- learning what’s out there, what you enjoy, where your heart is”.
