These are a few of my favourite things:

Greg Kwong, representing North West College, has been working for his organization for approximately five years! His presence on the SUTIL team is an absolute asset and is exceptionally gifted at speaking to students… not surprising since Greg’s educational background is in teaching! On a personal note, however, Greg’s time away from work often involves curling, cooking, or acting in his community theatre group. He also enjoys reading; his favourites including The Dead Poet Society, and The Last Lecture, both of which have added an insightful perspective to his life.

What you will NOT find Greg doing in his spare time, however, is singing or dancing. As Greg himself so eloquently puts it: “I lack rhythm”. As an ending note, Greg’s worldview is one we can all learn from, and in his own words: “Approach each day asking yourself, ‘have I made a difference today?’ If so, you can walk out the door with your head held high. If not, take a moment to reflect on the impact you have made”.

Even though I am over a half a Century old, I have been inspired by the group to go for higher education. I have applied to the University of Regina and I got accepted. I plan on taking classes there and there and I pray and hope I will be successful to obtain two more degrees before I reach age 55. I want to be a role model for the students, my family, and the community. Before retiring I will tackle Masters.

Happy Friday the 13th of December,

Thank you for The SUTIL Scoop and the SUTIL team visit at Rhoda Hardlotte Keethanow High School in Northern Saskatchewan. I noticed some of the team members were into Volleyball during the noon hour. Maybe that is how the team works; to have fun and to laugh and to warm up before presenting to the students and staff. Great Team! Thank you once again, SUTIL Team.
