How to Plan Your SUTIL Post-Secondary Education (PSE)

Welcome to the Saskatchewan Universities and Technical Institute Liaison (SUTIL)!

Founded in 1982, SUTIL comprises several post-secondary institutions located in Saskatchewan. These post-secondary institutions include universities, polytechnics, colleges, technical institutes, and apprenticeship programs.

Our Full Member post-secondary institutions include:

  • Lakeland College
  • Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification
  • Saskatchewan Polytechnic (formerly SIAST)
  • University of Regina
    • Campion College
    • Luther College
  • University of Saskatchewan
    • St. Thomas More College

Our Goal

Our goal is to provide high school students, parents, counsellors and teachers with relevant and current information regarding government funded post-secondary education opportunities in Saskatchewan. This is accomplished through coordinated school visits, referred to as Post-Secondary Education (PSE) Days. PSE Days are organized by region and allow our member to visit schools throughout the province in a coordinated and efficient manner.

Post-Secondary Education (PSE) Day

What is a PSE Day?

A PSE Day Day is a great way for students to learn more about their post-secondary education options. SUTIL seeks to provide informative and interactive presentations that allow students to explore their future education and career opportunities, ask questions, and receive important take-away information.

PSE Day Formats:

The five Primary post-secondary institution members of SUTIL are present at all PSE Days:

  • Lakeland College
  • Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification
  • Saskatchewan Polytechnic (formerly SIAST)
  • University of Regina (including Campion College and Luther College)
  • University of Saskatchewan (including St. Thomas More College)

In general, PSE Days allow each post-secondary institution to provide 2 - 3 sessions that are 45 minutes in length. Associate post-secondary institution members of SUTIL do not attend all PSE Days throughout the year; therefore, they will contact schools on an individual basis and request permission to participate.

You can request to have display booths on your PSE Day. Please schedule display booths at a separate time from the presentations for a maximum of 60 minutes. For best exposure and traffic, please ensure that all display booths are located in one central location such as the school gym, concourse area, or cafeteria.

PSE Committee

The PSE Committee plans and schedules all SUTIL PSE Days.

A PSE Committee member is assigned to each high school in Saskatchewan. You should be contacted by your assigned PSE Committee member and given a PSE Day Application form. If you were not contacted but would like to host a PSE Day please fill out the PSE Day Application and email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. Please note: Due to the coordinated travel commitments of SUTIL, rescheduling or adding a PSE Day is difficult and often not possible. Individual SUTIL post-secondary institutions will contact the host school if they are unable to attend the PSE Day due to inclement weather.

Make Your PSE Day a Success - Some Tips and Reminders:

  • Send out an expression of interest to your students to determine how many sessions from each post-secondary institution will be needed. This will ensure appropriate room location and seating arrangements.
  • Book room locations for the presentations. Remember, each presenter will require a projection screen or flat surface and a table for presentation equipment. Please have this equipment ready in each presenter’s classroom.
  • Each SUTIL Full Member must be given an opportunity to present.
  • Invite parents, the general public, regional college students (if applicable), and other schools within your geographic region to attend your PSE Day.
  • You are assigned a PSE Committee Member as a contact person for all questions and concerns, if you do not know who your assigned PSE Committee Member is please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
